Make Money With Pallets.
Everything you see in this blog is completely made out of reused pallets!  They are a great source of free wood if you are into building projects. Many companies just throw out the used pallets. You can sell good pallets for additional income anywhere from two to five dollars each!  I will explain how in this blog.
Un-used pallets are great for building projects.
VINELAND, N.J., June 10 /PRNewswire/ — Most people believe change starts at the top. But when it comes to greening your supply chain, change really starts at the bottom — with your choice of pallets. That’s what Michael Smith, C.O.O. of PALNET, a nationwide supplier of environmentally-friendly wooden pallets, believes. And he should know, he’s been in the pallet business for more than 20 years.

According to Smith, “One of the ‘greenest’ moves you can make is choosing wooden pallets made from the excess trim of the lumbering process. Instead of ending up in a landfill, these wooden pallets are continuously reclaimed, repaired, reused, and when no longer viable, end up as mulch. That’s cradle-to-cradle at its best.

Different companies have different pallets which contain
different wood.  You can obtain 2 x 4, 1 x 2, 4x4, and plywood just to
name some of the wood you can get from used pallets.
It took a lot of time to take the
pallets apart for the 2 x 4's but it was well worth it.
This is the inside of the shed behind the white door.  This project is work in
progress, we are not quite done yet.
Some of this wood came from furniture pallets.
It is a great way for the guys to spend a Saturday.

My dad gets credit for the dog houses.  The inside is designed to go around

to the right where the dog is completely protected from the elements.

Do you see the open door in the back there?  This is the inside of the shed.
Other than the labor we put in and the cost of the hammer and nails...all the wood was free! This shed was made from standard shipping pallets.
this is the middle section to the left of the shed. I am trying to show the  view from left to right. All the wood stacked on the shelves comes from the used pallets.
The porch is a major project but it gets done! Not only does
it have a railing but my husband builds a staircase for my son
who is handicapped on his right side.
(You can see the finished product in my blog 3 Days To Go where we had
a party.   The link is at the bottom of the page.)
Do you see the triangles on the back fence? Pallets that
are used for handling paper contain these triangles you see.
The plywood you see in the back and the 2 x 4 wood comes off
pallets that are used for handling paper rolls.
We recently had a party out back and you can see new pictures...you won't believe the barbeque pit, men!
Here it is, the pit.
Can't cook on it...But the guys sure love sitting around it at night...
You can find a lot of pictures of the finished parts of the project in
this blog .
Selling used pallets:
If you are interested in making money with pallets, it is quite simple.
Where some companies bring in the goods they require and do not
need the pallets, other companies require pallets to ship the finished
goods to the consumer.  Just ask the companies that do not need the
pallets if you can pick them up, then sell them to the companies that
do need the pallets.  If you do not want to go to that trouble, you can
sell your pallets to any local pallet company.  You can also take the
pallets apart and sell the wood to local people for thier own projects.
Good Luck!
